Welcome to the Waterloo Rod & Gun Club. Founded in 1949, WRG is one of the oldest & longest running clubs in the Waterloo Region.
Come experience the Woolwich countryside where our members engage in outdoor activities such as:

Target Shooting

· Target shooting on our 100-Yard outdoor Rifle Range
· Open Monday through Saturday from 9 am till sunset
· The range is open on Sunday from 12 pm to 4 pm for rimfire rifles only.

Trap Shooting

· One of the three major disciplines of competitive clay pigeon shooting, which is shooting clay targets with shotgun at our Trap Range.
· Open Monday through Saturday from 9 am till sunset
· Open for Public on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm from May till October.

Archery

Archery using bows or crossbows on our Archery Range with 10, 20 and 30 m targets.

Our club was founded to promote and support conservation, fishing, hunting and firearms responsibility and safety, but since have expanded our facilities for many other outdoor and recreational activities.

Indoor BB Gun and Archery – Teaching kids the sport of BB Gun & Archery & Safety while having fun in the Clemmer Building. Every Sunday from 12 pm to 2 pm (Opens January – March)

WRG Snowmobile Club

WRG Snowmobile Club

In the winter, the WRG Snowmobile Club travels hundreds of miles of trails in Southern Ontario, with Trail 5-82 passing through our grounds.

Our Facilities

  • Moser Hall – upper floor of main building – this venue holds up to 260 people & includes Bar & Kitchen.
  • You can rent this hall with a view of the scenic Conestoga River for weddings, special occasions, seminars, Christmas dinners, or company functions.
  • Open – all year round.

Lower floor of main building consists of three rooms with Bar & Kitchen, each of which can be rented. Open – all year round

  • Club Lounge & Bar – holds up to 130 people. Except when reserved, our Club Lounge & Bar is open to the public. It also includes 1 Dart Board.
  • Small Lounge – holds up to 40 people and has three dart boards.
  • Games Lounge holds up to 70 people and has three dart boards.
  • Our outdoor venue on the lower grounds holds up to 160 people indoor and up to 500 more on the adjacent picnic grounds & includes Kitchen.
  • Open – May 1st till October 31st. May open earlier or close later depending on weather.
  • This venue is ideal for outdoor events such as Family Functions, Picnics, Stag & Does, Open Air Concerts, Trade Shows, Car and Motorcycle shows.

The public is welcome to rent one or more of Moser Hall, our three lower lounges, or the Clemmer building and surrounding grounds for your events. We offer Catering & Decoration for events too.
